In 1985 he graduated with honors from the Sanitary and Hygienic Faculty of the Kharkiv Medical Institute. from 2009 to 2018 - Head of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine.

Since 2018 to present - has been working as a professor at the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Academic Council of the Medical Faculty.

In 1991 he defended his dissertation, in 2007 - his doctoral dissertation in the specialty 14.02.01. – «Hygiene and occupational pathology» on the topic «Hygienic bases of system optimization of children's health in the conditions of a secondary school». In June 2015, Heorhii M. Danilenko was awarded the academic title of Professor of Hygiene and Social Medicine.

In 2018, he passed the advanced training under the educational program «Ukrainian language-professional direction», the Center for Postgraduate Education of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. He passed a scientific and pedagogical internship in Poland in 2019.

Heorhii M. Danilenko has more than 250 publications in professional journals, collections, etc. 9 articles in periodicals included in the scientometric database Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection. Performs the function of a member of the editorial board of 2 professional scientific publications of Ukraine and a foreign scientific publication.

Scientific specialization of Heorhii M. Danilenko is hygiene of children and adolescents. He was the head of seven candidates of medical sciences and 1 doctor of medical sciences. Under his leadership, the results of 12 research projects were implemented, where he was the head. Danilenko G.M. has 4 patents for inventions and seven certificates of registration of copyright to the work. He was a co-author of a textbook, 7 textbooks, 3 monographs, 25 textbooks for students of higher education, and an e-course on the educational platform of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Heorhii M. Danilenko is a permanent member of the specialized scientific council D 64.600.06 in the specialties 14.02.01 - hygiene and occupational pathology and 14.02.03 - social medicine. He participated in the certification of scientific personnel seven times as an official opponent.

Constantly participates in scientific forums, scientific and practical conferences held in Ukraine and abroad, regularly participates in professional seminars for school doctors, the administration of ZSSO on the prevention of diseases of schoolchildren. For participation in the organization and holding of scientific and practical events of international specialized exhibitions, he was awarded a diploma of the Expocenter of Ukraine and the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Diplomas of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, and the Presidium of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
