On April 8, 2016 at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology of Bogomolets National Medical University the II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad on discipline "Microbiology, Virology and immunology" was held, which was represented by 12 Universities of Ukraine. The first round (theoretical) includes an assessment of theoretical knowledge of students. The competition task of the first round included 5 questions from different sections of the discipline. In the second round (practical) students competed solving situational tasks, they stained, used microscope and analyzed bacterial preparations. The jury determined the winners in personal superiority on the total number of points, scored in the two rounds of the Olympiad.

A traditional contest "Beauty of the University 2016" was held in the University of Karazin with the help of the Universitity Cultural Centre, with the support of the Trade Union of Students and doctoral students and the Student Council. Romanovskaya Kseniya, a 3rd year student, was decided to be a representative of our department. Kseniya became a winner in 4 categories, 4 titles were won by her: "Miss trade union", "Miss attractiveness", "Miss younova» and "Miss Universe".

Student’s scientific team has been working under the direction of Professor I.S. Lebec since foundation of department of pediatrics. In 2015, the Student’s Scientific Team for English speakers was established. The main its aim was inclusion of English-speaking students to research work and participation in scientific international conferences, etc.

The organizer of the scientific event was the Department of General Practice - Family Medicine.

In the section "For Students" of website of the School of Medicine subsection "Preparation for KROK examinations" has been added, in which there is a short description of the KROK license exam, description of the system of preparation and materials of preparation for KROK exams.
