The representatives of the Student Research Society of the School of Medicine participated in the II International Forum of Medical Students "UMSA Carpathian Forum ", which was held under the aegis of the Ukrainian Medical Students' Association on May 7-9, 2016 on the basis of the state higher educational institution "Uzhhorod National University". In the work the students of 1 and 2 courses have taken part: Tatiana Antusheva and Taisiya Sazonova, Ivan Marchenko, Elena Delich.

On April 14, 2016 on the basis of Bukovinian State Medical University (Chernivtsi) the II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Medical Biology was held. The 1st year student Anastasia S. Lovchikova represented the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv University.

April 29, 2016

On April 20 the second stage of Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad on medical genetics among higher educational institutions of medical education of Ukraine took place at the Department of Medical Genetics of Kharkiv National Medical University. Five-year students Tatiana Gnidko (ВI-52), Evgenia Gusak (ВI-59), Anastasia Radchenko (ВI-50) attended it.

On April 14, 2016 the badminton competitions has been completed. They were held as part of the 66th Student Spartakiad of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv University. The men's team of the School of Medicine with the students Arumugam Sathishkumar (5th course, VА-507) and Jitendra Chowdary (3rd course, VA-333) showed good results and won the 2nd prize place.

On April 20, 2016 an open popular scientific lecture "Does "healthy" aging possible? View of the 21st century" was held. The lecture was given by a teacher of normal histology of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology of the School of Medicine, deputy director for Biology Research Institute of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, PhD in Biology, associate professor V. I. Padalko.

The female team of the School of Medicine with the students of 2nd year Anna Ignatenko and Yulia Tkachenko showed good results and won the 3rd prize place.
