On 20-21th of October, 2016 the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was visited by colleagues from Istanbul University Clinic Medipol(Turkey): oncologist surgeon Rashad Rzazade and Medical Physicist Nadir Kuchuk. The meeting organized by the Vice-President of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University for Scientific and Pedagogic Work (for International Cooperation), Candidate of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor Z. F. Nazyrov.

October 20, 2016, representatives of the Scientific Society of the Faculty of Medicine of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, with the support of the Ukrainian Medical Students Association (UMSA), organized campaign "Say “NO!” to cancer", dedicated to the National Day against breast cancer.

Kryvonos Christine Anatolievna, lecturer of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University successfully defended her PhD thesis. The topic of the thesis «The substantiation of the regional concept of public health and environment protection from the influence of waste» was written by a specialty 14.02.01 "Hygiene and professional pathology" and defended at Specialized Academic Council at the Kharkiv National Medical University Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

On October 7, 2016 the staff of the Department of Pediatrics of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the opening ceremony of memorial plaque for outstanding pediatrician, Merited Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Medicine, founder of the national school of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Professor Yuriy Vladimirovich Belousov.

Last week, at the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University 2 students from the Warsaw medical University, Mateusz Kaczmarski and Wojciech Glug, took a part in the medical exchange program between Ukrainian Medical Students Association (UMSA) and Polish non-governmental student organization SASA Foundation. The internship held at the Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative surgery and Topographic anatomy of the School of Medicine, Central Clinical Hospital “Ukrzaliznytsa” under the leadership of Head of department, Doctor of Medicine, Professor I. V. Belozerov.

On September 21, 2016 the School staff conference was held. It was devoted to the consideration of candidates for the vacant position of the Dean of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. According to the decision of the Academic Council of the School of Medicine and established by this decision quotas of the structural divisions of the School of Medicine reports of the candidates for the vacant position about the prospects for the next 5 years were presented to the delegates of all structural divisions in the amount of 175 people.
