During the summer holidays the 2nd year student of the School of Medicine Nikolai Usik participated in the work of Dnipropetrovsk rescue squad as a volunteer. Nikolai repeatedly took part in the rescue and search operations, during which has demonstrated high level of knowledge of theoretical material and practical skills.

Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkov National University on the clinical base of the Department of surgical diseases, operative surgery and topographic anatomy at the State institution «V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Urgent surgery of NAMS of Ukraine» have visited the soldiers - participants of anti-terrorist operation, which are treated for gunshot wounds, mine-blast trauma, and contusions, which have been obtained at the civil duty execution.

It was dedicated to epidermolysis bullosa, the 5th anniversary of the International Public Organization "Dermatologists-for children" and the Centre "DEBRA Ukraine» in Ukraine.

On May 15, 2016 by the order № 503 of MES Ukraine the awarding Julia Viktorovna Gontar of scientific degree of Candidate of Biology in the specialty 03.00.15 "Genetics" was approved. Thesis "Cytogenetic characteristics of the different ontogenetic stages of the human within the assisted reproductive technology" performed at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University directed by Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Alena Mikhaylovna Fedota.

On April 7-8, 2016 on the basis of Higher State Educational Institution of Ukraine "Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy" the II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in normal physiology was carried out. More than 30 students of 2-3 courses of medical higher educational institutions from all over Ukraine took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad was held in two stages: the first - testing, the second - written work. The 2nd year student Tatiana Maksimenko and Irina Redina represented the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
