On May 19, 2016 the competition for the Cup of the Student Trade Union Committee of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in badminton finished, in which a team of the School of Medicine including Elena Chicherina (ВИ-105) and Jitendra Chowdary (ВА-333) won.

The representatives of the Student Research Society of the School of Medicine participated in the II International Forum of Medical Students "UMSA Carpathian Forum ", which was held under the aegis of the Ukrainian Medical Students' Association on May 7-9, 2016 on the basis of the state higher educational institution "Uzhhorod National University". In the work the students of 1 and 2 courses have taken part: Tatiana Antusheva and Taisiya Sazonova, Ivan Marchenko, Elena Delich.

On April 14, 2016 on the basis of Bukovinian State Medical University (Chernivtsi) the II stage of Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Medical Biology was held. The 1st year student Anastasia S. Lovchikova represented the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv University.

On April 20 the second stage of Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad on medical genetics among higher educational institutions of medical education of Ukraine took place at the Department of Medical Genetics of Kharkiv National Medical University. Five-year students Tatiana Gnidko (ВI-52), Evgenia Gusak (ВI-59), Anastasia Radchenko (ВI-50) attended it.
