Karazin Kharkiv National University the Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Safety of vital functions, fundamentals of occupational safety and health» took place. The conference was organized by the Department of General Practice - Family Medicine.

On November 23, 2017 in Kharkiv on the basis of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education it was held a scientific-and-practical international conference for young scientists “Medicine of the XXI century”. The participants of the conference were instructors from the Department of General and Clinical Allergology and the Department of Internal Medicine and students-scientists of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

November 27, 2017

On November 18, 2017, the State Institution “Institute for the Protection of Children's and Adolescents' Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” (IPCAH) celebrated its 95th anniversary. During the entire period of existence of the revived School of Medicine, the IPCAH is the clinical base of the departments of pediatrics, hygiene and social medicine. The ceremonial event were attended by leading scientists, doctors, representatives of the regional state administration and the regional council, heads of district administrations. The collective of the IPCAH was given diplomas and honorary signs.

On November 23-24th in Kiev it was held the First Regional Neurological Congress “Controversies in Neurology”. The School of medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in the course of the event was represented by the students Abdel Vahab Othman (6th year), Olena Delich (4th year) and Veronika Shepel` (2nd year).

On November 22, 2017 the report-election conference of the Trade Union Committee of students, postgraduates, doctoral students and young scientists of the School of Medicine was held, on which the renewed membership of the Student Trade Union of the School of Medicine was elected.

During two weeks the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University had been conducting a number of seminars with students of the 5th course of the English-language form of education. At the seminars the peculiarities of functioning and work of the sanitary and epidemiological service in modern conditions in Ukraine and other countries were considered.

The 5th year students of the English-speaking form of education gave a number of lectures for 8-11-form pupils in some Kharkiv schools in the course of learning appropriate topics of the discipline “Social Medicine and Organization of Healthcare” at the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

On October 23-27, 2017 in V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University it was held a Gala Concert of the annual traditional University contest of creativeness for first-year students “Alma Mater”, where prize-winners of the competition were awarded. Over a period of one week first-year students of all faculties of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University had a chance to demonstrate their talents. The theme of current year’s contest was “Autumn Detective Story”.

On November 16-17, 2017 the instructors of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Doctor of Medicine, full professor S. O. Sherstyuk and assistant S. I. Panov took part in the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Prospects for the development of medical science and education", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the medical institute of Sumy State University. More than 250 scientists from the leading higher medical educational institutions of Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, Lugansk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil and Mykolaiev took part in the conference.
