On December 22, 2017 in the Scientists’ House it was held a New Year Exhibition, organized by the Regional Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine. The exhibition was attended by employees of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University: Deputy Dean for Economic Affairs I. M.Tyagun and Inspector of the Dean's Department A. V. Kremen’. According to the results of the jury's assessments in the nomination "The best New Year's panel", A.V. Kremen's work won the 3rd prize.

On the basis of the Department of Human Anatomy operates a student's society of the normal human anatomy. In this academic year a new direction of the circle was opened, this is work with foreign students of the English-language cycle. So, on the basis of this circle, a series of scientific seminars.

On December 21, 2017 on the basis of the Department of General Practice – Family Medicine of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University it was held the students scientific conference «Present-day trends in the treatment and diagnosis of socially significant diseases» supported by the Students Scientific Society and Ukrainian-African Academic Center.

On December 15, 2017 in the Column Hall of the Northern Corps of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University supported by Students Council of the University it was held the annual University Charity Winter Ball. The main aim of the event was collecting means for buying equipment for PI “Institute of Child and Adolescent Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”. The event was visited by the rector of the University V. S. Bakirov, the director of PI “Institute of Child and Adolescent Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” H. M. Danilenko, deans and vice-deans of schools, etc.

On December 8, 2017 the students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University came to A. I. Meshchaninov Kharkiv City Emergency Hospital as blood-donors. In the course of the event it was collected more than 5 liters of blood for Surgery Department of the hospital.

On December 8, 2017 students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the All-Ukrainian Conference for young scientists and students “Interdisciplinary Aspects of Psychiatry, Neurology and Medical Psychology” held on the basis of Kharkiv National Medical University.

December 17, 2017

On December 12 and 14, 2017, the Spartakiad of the University of Badminton was held on the basis of the sports complex of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The students of the School of Medicine took part in the competitions: in the female team of the school - Lolita Horobets and Olena Vasilko, in the male team of the school - Ditendra Chaudari, Venkanta Naraianakha, Satish Kumara and Varadkharahavan Vinokhta. According to the results of the competitions our teams became winners and took first place in the tournament.

On December 13, 2017 it was held a scientific conference for English-speaking students “Topical Issues of Modern Histology” by the Department of General and Clinical Pathology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The participants of the conference were 2nd year foreign students of the School of Medicine: Hanna Hanin, Mohammad Kaaki and Jad Kaaki, Arij Gargouri, Rakesh Singh, Miracle Eke, Kapil Sharma, Nadeem Jbara and Yahya Yazem.

On December 8-9, 2017, on the basis of the sports complex of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", badminton competitions were held in the program of the Spartakiad of Higher Educational Institutions. Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the competitions.

Karazin Kharkiv National University, a meeting-seminar on the introduction of innovative pedagogical technologies into the educational process was held on the theme: "Innovative Pedagogical Technologies as a Factor of Increasing Student Motivation for Learning".
