On 18-19 May, 2018 a delegation of instructors of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, namely Head of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology, PhD in medicine, Full Professor M. M. Popov, Head of the Department of Pediatrics, PhD in medicine, Full Professor V. H. Chernus'kyj and Candidate of Biology, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology S. H. Malanchuk took part in the International Scientific-and-Practical Conference dedicated to the 110th Anniversary since I. I. Mechnykov had won the Nobel Prize held in Dvorichna, Kharkiv Region.

On May 22, 2018 at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in accordance with the letter of the State Institution «Center for testing the professional competence of specialists with higher education in the areas "Medicine" and "Pharmacy" under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine» No. 161 of 08/05/2018 instructors responsible for adherence to the procedure for the licensed integrated examination «KROK-2. On the basis of the Department of Human Anatomy of the Medical Faculty of the Karazin V.N. National University still working a student's circle on the normal human anatomy. In second semester of this academic year a series of students seminars has been done: The first of the seminars was held on April 24, 2018. The main directions of the reports were: «The distribution of functions in the Cerebral Cortex» speaker: Fahdan Victoria (group ВA-126), «The Isthmus of the Rhomboid Brain» speaker: Sood Purva (group ВA-125), «Abnormalities of the eye» speaker: Thakur Nishchay (group ВA-129), «Auditory and vestibular analyzer» speaker: Mishra Gurubrata (group ВA-136), «Bloodsupplay of the Brain» speaker: Garima (group ВA-128).

According to the letter by the acting rector of Ivano-Frankivs’k National Medical University H. M. Erstenyuk 09.1.8-1811/8 from 04.05.2018 the 5th year students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University K. Romanovs’ka and D. Volkov demonstrated high level of theoretical and practical background while All-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology and won 5th and 22nd rating places respectively among 34 participants. It allowed the School of Medicine to take 9th rating place among 16 higher medical educational institutions, students of which took part in the Olympiad.

On May 4, 2018 the instructor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, regional children’s immunologist, Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor, Deputy Chief Doctor in polyclinic work of Kharkiv Regional Children’s Clinic №1 O. M. Savvo took part as an expert in a broadcast “Vidkrytyj dostup” (free access) at Kharkiv regional radio, where the project “Nash spil’nyj zaxyst” was under discussion in the course of the All-Ukrainian immunization week.

On April 24-26, 2018 at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University at the School of Medicine the XV- International Scientific Conference of Students, Young Scientists and Specialists "Actual Issues of Modern Medicine", dedicated to the 231st anniversary of the foundation and the 25th anniversary of the revival of the medical faculty of Kharkiv National University was held. More than 300 participants from Ukraine, Poland, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.

On April 28-30, 2018 students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part in the VI National Assembly of Medical Students, which was held on the basis of N. I. Pirogov Vinnitsa National Medical University. Among the representatives of the All-Ukrainian Youth Association of Medical Students at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University were students of the 2nd and 3rd year of the School of Medicine: local coordinator of the committee «Reproductive Health (HIV / AIDS)» (SCORA) Veronika Shepel and local coordinator of the committee «Human Rights and World» (SCORP) Tetiana Antusheva.

Since its founding in 1983, the ESCMID (European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Disease) has grown into a leading European association of clinical microbiologists and infectious disease doctors that brings together members from all European countries and even continents. For more than 30 years, ESCMID is an influential component in the professional life of microbiologists and infectious disease specialists and now has over 33'000 members worldwide. ESCMID is registered in Switzerland with offices in Basel. This year's 28th European Congress on Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases ECCMID 2018 blots oneʼs record! Over 1294 people from 128 countries took part in the ECCMID. The Congress had over 150 sessions with guest speakers covering all areas of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, including eight major lectures, over 100 symposia, oral sessions and 22 workshops.

On April 19-20, 2018 a 3rd year student of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Yuliya Zhadan, took part in the work of the international scientific and practical conference "Modern theoretical and practical aspects of clinical medicine", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of S. I. Korkhov birth, which was held at Odessa National Medical University.

On April 18-20, 2018, on the basis of Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy in Poltava it was held the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad in the discipline “Histology, cytology and embryology”, where 2nd year students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Krazin Kharkiv National University took part, namely: Nelyapina Mariya, Shnejderman Sofiya and Hvozd Vladyslav.
