On November 21, 2017 it was held the University tour of the Students Olympiad in German and French languages, where the students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University took part having demonstrated a high level of foreign language. According to the results of the Olympiad the first place was won by the 6th year student Vladyslava Dovhan (German language). Moreover, the participants of the Olympiad, who had demonstrated high level of foreign language were students of the School of Medicine: Artem Iksary`cya (1 year), Yana Kuzub (1 year), Dary`na Savchenko (2 year).

December 7, 2017

Students of the School of Medicine took part in the V National Assembly of Medical Students, which was held on November 4-5, 2017 at the Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Students of the 4th year: Head of the local representation of UMSA Karazin Ekaterina Stokaz and local coordinator of the Committee of Professional Exchanges (SCOPE) Vladimir Savvo attended the V National Assembly of Medical Students and represented V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. More than 200 medical students from universities throughout Ukraine attended The Assembly.

On December 1, 2017 at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University a campaign, dedicated to the World AIDS Day, was held. The event was organized in the framework of the university program "Student Health" by the representatives of the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS (SCORA), Student Committee of Medical Education (SCOME), Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) of the local representation of the Ukrainian Medical Student Association (UMSA) at the Karazin University with the support of the African Medical Students Association.

On December 1, 2017, on the basis of a scientific society on Department of Human Anatomy, a student seminar was held devoted to the issues of variant anatomy and morphological features of the structure of the human heart.

On November 30, 2017, the Charity Organization of the Student Council of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University visited children-patients of Kharkiv Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 3. Two hours is, it seems, so little, but during this time a team of volunteers headed by students of the School of Medicine of the University became true friends for children who were a little bashful at the beginning and friendly at the end of the meeting. Fun games to improve the response and dexterity, as well as dancing added bright colors in the lives of children. What can be more pleasant than a sincere smile, which is the best gift for volunteers?

On November 24, 2017 instructors of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine Z. V. Sotnikov-Meleshkina and Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of General Practice - Family Medicine O. O. Shevchenko as members of the jury took part in the I round of the I (district) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of research works of pupils-members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Karazin Kharkiv National University Yuliya Zhadan and Tayisiya Sazonova took part in the scientific-and-practical international conference for young scientists “Medicine of the XXI century”, having been held on the basis of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education.

Karazin Kharkiv National University the Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Safety of vital functions, fundamentals of occupational safety and health» took place. The conference was organized by the Department of General Practice - Family Medicine.

November 27, 2017

On November 23, 2017 in Kharkiv on the basis of Kharkiv Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education it was held a scientific-and-practical international conference for young scientists “Medicine of the XXI century”. The participants of the conference were instructors from the Department of General and Clinical Allergology and the Department of Internal Medicine and students-scientists of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

November 27, 2017

On November 18, 2017, the State Institution “Institute for the Protection of Children's and Adolescents' Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” (IPCAH) celebrated its 95th anniversary. During the entire period of existence of the revived School of Medicine, the IPCAH is the clinical base of the departments of pediatrics, hygiene and social medicine. The ceremonial event were attended by leading scientists, doctors, representatives of the regional state administration and the regional council, heads of district administrations. The collective of the IPCAH was given diplomas and honorary signs.
