On June 21, 2017 during the meeting of the Academic Council of the School of medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the best instructors of the school received diplomas and certificates for the Day of Health Worker and for the Day of Science. Full professor of the Department of Surgical Diseases of the School of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine O. I. Tsivenko was awarded with the Honorary Diploma of Kharkiv Regional State Administration for his significant contribution to the development of medical education and science for the Day of Health Worker. The best instructors and students of the School of Medicine were awarded with diplomas and certificates by the President of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine V. S. Bakirov.

On June 8-9, 2017 in Sibenik (Croatia) the course of immunological training in primary immunodeficiency "Theory and clinical practice. When science meets practice" was carried out. Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, chief freelance immunologist of the Health Department of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Candidate of Medicine O. M. Savvo took part in the event. Scientists and clinicians from Great Britain, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Slovenia, Ukraine and other countries took part in the event.

On June 15-16, 2017 the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Neurology and Medical Psychology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a round table with international participation "Psychotherapy of children with hyperkinetic disorders". The round table was held with the support of the International Charity Fund "Oleksandr Fel'dman Fund", Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, state organization "Institute of Children and Adolescents Health of the NAMS of Ukraine", state organization "Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology of the NAMS of Ukraine".

On May 23-24, 2017 in Kharkiv National Medical University the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Bioethics and Biosafety: Multidisciplinary Approach" was held where the full professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University O. M. Fedota took part and delivered a report.

On May 26, 2017 the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held the I student scientific-practical conference "Prospects and modern tendencies of modern virology". The conference was attended by students of 2nd, 4th and 5th courses of the School of Medicine of Ukrainian- and English-speaking form of education. As listeners at the conference there were students of 2-6 courses of the school and instructors of several departments.

May 29, 2017

On May 24, 2017 a meeting of the student group of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was held, in the course of which the topics of helminthiosis - parasitic diseases of humans, animals and plants caused by helminths - parasitic worms were discussed. Reports were made by students Iryna Serashova ta Demian Rudyk. The reporters focused their attention on flat worms, representatives of the Trematodes and Tape Worms (Cestodes). It was noted that the pathogenesis of helminthiases is based on the sensitization of the organism by products of metabolism and disintegration of parasites, as well as mechanical damage to organs and tissues.

It has already become a good tradition to hold student research seminars of the human anatomy scientific group, which works at the Department of Human Anatomy of the School of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The main goals of the work of the scientific group and conducting seminars on its basis are to increase the level of professional training of students based on the development of their analytical and creative abilities, the formation of scientific thought, and the identification of talented and gifted students who are able and willing to engage in research activities. In carrying out of seminars during the preparation of reports both students of the group and teachers of the department take part. Frequency of seminars - 1 time per month. Seminars are usually held in the form of a round table with subsequent discussion.

On May 24-25, 2017 the annual regional competitions in beach volleyball among male student teams of higher educational institutions of Kharkiv region were held. The team of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University including students Dmytro Rudenko (School of Medicine) and Valerii Syniahovskyi (School of Philosophy) (trainer - senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education S. M. Kolii) worthily presented the university and by results of the competitions took the second place. Prize-winners were awarded with memorable diplomas, bowls and medals.

On May 18-19, 2017 on the basis of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University the All-Ukrainian XIV scientific and practical conference with international participation "Modern Approaches to Higher Medical Education in Ukraine" was held. During the conference issues related to the organization of the educational process in the field of knowledge "Health care", modern approaches to postgraduate education of doctors, development and functioning of university clinics and the round table of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine were considered.
