Students of the School of Medicine received IBM personal certificates

At the the contest "Prayers for Ukraine" at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the students of the School of Medicine were awarded with IBM certificates for the perfect study of IBM Watson Analytics for the statistical processing and analysis of medical information. The IBM Academic Initiative is an international program of IBM's cooperation with educational institutions that train specialists in the field of innovative technologies, including the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The goal of the program is to develop the knowledge, skills and practical experience of students in the process of their preparation for professional activities in such areas as computer science, information technology, information systems and others. At the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University the coordinator of the IBM Academic Initiative program is professor O. V. Martynenko. Disciplines that he teaches at the school ("Medical Informatics" and "Intelligent Analytical Medical Systems") have achieved some recognition in the IBM Academic Initiative program. In this regard, the school have gotten the right to nominate the best students with professional IBM certificates at the course "Intelligent Analytical Medical Systems" using the IBM Watson Analytics software and IBM SPSS Statistics.

Support from IBM professional certification for students with the subsequent posting of resumes of certified students in the IBM database promotes the implementation of young talents. For students who hold at least one IBM certificate, there is a special program called Student Opportunity System. The program allows students from accredited educational institutions to freely post their resumes on the Virtual Employment Center website, accessible to thousands of IBM customers and business partners around the world. As a result, employers can find and hire students with skills in the field of technology and IBM software.
