On September 11-15, 2017 at I. I. Mechnikov Odessa National Medical University (Odessa, Ukraine) the XV S. M. Vinogradsky Congress of the Society of Microbiologists of Ukraine (SMU) was held. Domestic and foreign scientists, including Candidate of Biology, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University S. G. Malanchuk took part.

The results of the licensing exam "KROK-1. General medicine” (second re-exam) of the 3rd year students are published on the web site of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The second re-exam was carried out on September 6, 2017.

In accordance with letter No. 92-13-6 (999) 5 of August 29, 2017 admissions and students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University are invited from the mayor of Lozovaya (Kharkiv region, Ukraine), S. V. Zelensky to participate in the competition for education on a contract basis at the School of Medicine at the expense of the city budget in the program "Health care of inhabitants of Lozovaya" for 2017-2019. The program was approved by the decision of the session of the Lozovaya City Council No. 438 of November 11, 2016.

In accordance with letter No. 509/18 of August 31, 2017 from the state organization "Center for testing of the professional competence of specialists with higher education in the fields “Medicine" and "Pharmacy", in accordance with Ministry of Health of Ukraine, inform students of the 3rd year of the School of Medicine that on September 6, 2017 at 9.00 (meeting of the students at 8.30 near the dean’s office in the Northern Building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University) the Center for testing will carry out the second re-exam of the licensing exam "KROK-1. General medicine".

On August 31, 2017 near the main building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, special event dedicated to the students of the University, including first-year students of the School of Medicine and the celebration of the Day of Knowledge were held. At the event, the President of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, academician V. S. Bakirov delivered a speech. Ahead of the university, a symbolic fire of knowledge broke out, and all present honored the memory of the founder of the university, an outstanding scientist, public figure and educator Vasily Nazarovich Karazin, putting flowers at the monument in his honor near the main building.

On August 29, 2017 by the decision of the Academic Council of the School of Medicine and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, two new clinical departments were organized, which became the centers of scientific and pedagogical work on two new clinical bases of the School of Medicine. So, on the basis of the Department of Pediatrics two separate structural subdivisions were formed: the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 and the Department of Pediatrics No. 2. And on the basis of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Neurology and Medical Psychology there are two more departments: the Department of Clinical Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology and the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, Neurology and Medical Psychology. The clinical bases of the new departments will be the leading medical and preventive institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine: state organization “Institute for the Protection of Children's and Adolescents' Health of the NAMS of Ukraine” and
