Logistic of the Department of Cardiology, Laboratory and Functional Diagnostics

The material and technical support of the department is at the highest level and fully complies with international standards.

The Department has conditions for conducting educational process at its clinical bases: City Cinical Hospital No. 8 and cardiology department ofRegional Clinical Hospital. Lectures are held in the lecture hall equipped with modern multimedia system and computers. There are study rooms with educational and methodical equipment for practical classes and also computers with access to the Internet.

The material and technical support of hospitals allows educational process to be held at high modern level and provides an opportunity for students to directly participate in the process of examining patients, using the diagnostic potential of clinics. Modern diagnostic equipment is used at clinical bases of the Department - Coronary angiography and stenting of coronary vessels, Computed tomography, Magnetic resonance imaging. Such diagnostic methods as ECG, TT and TE Echocardiography with Doppler, loading tests, Transesophageal pacing, Ambulatory monitoring of blood pressure and Holter ECG, measurement of central aortic pressure parameters are widely used. Laboratory research methods in the field of biochemistry, immunology, genetics are being improved.

The department staff has developed distance learning courses. A bank of educational video and audio materials has been prepared.
