The scientific interests of the department include the study of: the characteristics of patient management and prognosis after radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation and flutter; features of electrocardiographic parameters in patients with diabetes mellitus; introduction and study of the latest techniques for the rehabilitation of the musculoskeletal system in patients with concomitant cardiovascular diseases.
The department carries out scientific work in several areas:
-graduate studies;
- participation of teachers of the department in scientific conferences, seminars;
-publishing scientific articles, abstracts;
-work on the department’s scientific topic;
-scientific work of students under the guidance of teachers of the department;
For a short period from the moment of the creation of the department, employees regularly take part in All-Ukrainian as well as International conferences. We would especially like to highlight such events as:
• in September 2019, 3 employees (Makharynska S. Olena, Oktiabrova I. Irina, Zolotarova V. Tetiana) received Grants from the European Society of Cardiology (ESC Congress 2019 Educational Grant) and attended the European Congress of Cardiology together with the World Congress of Cardiology, which was held in Paris, France.
• at the XX National Congress of Cardiology of Ukraine, assistant of the department Zolotarova V. Tetiana was awarded a diploma for I place in the young scientists competition.
For the year of the department’s existence alone, 7 articles were published in domestic publications, 1 article in the international publication (SCOPUS), 8 articles are in print and more than 24 abstracts were published.
An integral part of the scientific work of the department is the organization of work of student scientific circles, which are structural units of the Scientific community of students, graduate students, doctoral students and young scientists of the medical faculty. Students of the scientific circle of the department, together with the staff of the department, take an active part in clinical discussions and councils, scientific and practical conferences, congresses, forums, symposia and scientific research, as a result of which articles have been published in specialized publications, including foreign ones.
