Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation

The head of the Department of propaedeutics of internal medicine and physical rehabilitation is Associateprofessor Dr. Mariia S. Brynza, PhD.

In 2010 she graduatedwith honors School of Medicine of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University specializing in “Medicine”. From 2010 to 2012 was trained in the medical intern specializing in “Internal medicine” in Kharkiv Medical Postgraduate Academy at the department of therapy, rheumatology and clinical pharmacology. In 2012-2013 she worked as a therapist in the reception department of M.I. Kononenko Chuguiv Central District Hospital. In 2012 she received a title of Assistant professor, and from March 2013 studied as a junior researcher in the Department of internal medicine of School of Medicine in V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. In 2016 she successfully defended her PhD thesis of the theme: “Prognostic significance of QTc interval duration in drug management in patients after pacemaker and cardiac resynchronization therapy implantation” in the specialty 14.01.11 – cardiology; from September 2016 worked as Associate professor in the Department of internal medicine of School of Medicine in V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. In 2018 dissertation for the degree of Doctor of medical science on the theme: “Pathogenetic and prognostic factors of clinical course and treatment optimization in patients after radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation, flutter and their combination” in the specialty 14.01.11 – cardiology. Oktober 2018, she got a scientific degree – Associate professor. December 2018, she was elected as a Head of the newly created Department of propaedeutics of internal medicine and physical rehabilitation.

Dr. Mariia S. Brynza constantly improves her pedagogic, scientific and medical qualification by taking courses in English, pedagogical skills, internal medicine; she has a specializations in cardiology and endocrinology.

To the field of scientific interests Dr. Mariia S. Brynza includes cardiology, arrhythmology, endocrinology and cardiorehabilitation. He is the author of more than 70 scientific and methodological works. She participates annually in scientific and practical conferences at both national and international levels. He is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Cardiology, a member of the European Heart Rate Association (EHRA).

Dr. Mariia S. Brynza enjoys authority among the colleagues, students, medical stuff and patients. She teaches lectures in the disciplines "Propaedeutics of internal medicine" and "Internal medicine, including endocrinology" in Ukrainian and English; performs a large amount of methodological, scientific, organizational and medical work on the base of Specialized health-sanitarian hospital No. 13; she is a member of the Scientific Council of the School of Medicine.
