On May 25, 2020, at the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, for the first time in history, a state comprehensive practical-oriented certification examination was held for 6th year students as part of the state certification of applicants for higher medical education in a remote format. This year, conducting an exam using distance learning technologies and online platform was the first such experience for both instructors and students.

In response to the challenges of today, full professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the School of Medicine, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Doctor of Biology A. M. Fedota and her fellow scientists joined the study of coronavirus infection which in early 2020 acquired the character of a pandemic. At the moment, the first results of scientific work have been obtained, which are published in a specialized scientific publication.Thus, the scientific-pedagogical staff of the School of Medicine even during quarantine continues active scientific, methodological, educational, clinical and training work for the benefit of the university and the country.

On March 23-25, 2020 the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was visited by a delegation from ‘Medipol Mega’ Hospital Complex (Medipol Mega Üniversite Hastanesi) at Istanbul University ‘Medipol’ headed by the international department coordinator of the clinic Ujagan Ustyur. The event was attended by the President of the Karazin University, Academician V. S. Bakirov, Dean of the School of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor I. V. Belozorov, heads of departments, instructors and students of the School.

In pursuance of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 211 dated March 11, 2020, the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University introduced quarantine from March 12 to April 3, 2020 and it is forbidden to attend classes for students.
