At the initiative of a 6th year students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Alina Bessonova, Victoria Biletska and her classmates a few weeks earlier, a charity event was raised to raise funds among students of the School of Medicine and the university, scientific and pedagogical staff and not indifferent Ukrainians. The purpose of the action was to purchase the necessary personal protective equipment for medical workers of the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital, which is preparing to be the first to defend residents of the Kharkiv region from coronavirus infection.

In response to the challenges of today, full professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the School of Medicine, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Doctor of Biology A. M. Fedota and her fellow scientists joined the study of coronavirus infection which in early 2020 acquired the character of a pandemic. At the moment, the first results of scientific work have been obtained, which are published in a specialized scientific publication.Thus, the scientific-pedagogical staff of the School of Medicine even during quarantine continues active scientific, methodological, educational, clinical and training work for the benefit of the university and the country.

Quarantine Training at the Department of Internal Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation is conducted in all disciplines of the department: classes with scheduled teachers, as well as knowledge diagnostics in each group are conducted in e-learning rooms with the help of Google Classroom technology, all access to Google Classroom technology group consultations in the Zoom app and in e-learning rooms.

On March 23-25, 2020 the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was visited by a delegation from ‘Medipol Mega’ Hospital Complex (Medipol Mega Üniversite Hastanesi) at Istanbul University ‘Medipol’ headed by the international department coordinator of the clinic Ujagan Ustyur. The event was attended by the President of the Karazin University, Academician V. S. Bakirov, Dean of the School of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor I. V. Belozorov, heads of departments, instructors and students of the School.

In pursuance of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 211 dated March 11, 2020, the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University introduced quarantine from March 12 to April 3, 2020 and it is forbidden to attend classes for students.

We are forced to announce that the International scientific conference of Students, Young Scientists and Specialists “Topical Issues of Modern Medicine” on March 26th-27th, 2020, dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the founding of the School of medicine of V.
