Patient care (practice) (course 2, semester 4).Care for a sick child is an important part of the organization of the treatment process in medical institutions and outpatient settings, includes knowledge of medical ethics and deontology, features of first aid, the impact of certain procedures on the child’s body, the algorithm of daily medical careoutpatient and inpatient settings.
Nursing practice (course 3, semester 5).The main components of the discipline are the organization of the work of paramedics of the children's hospital, knowledge of regulations and documentation governing the work of a pediatric nurse, mastering the technique of medical manipulation in pediatric patients.
Propaedeutics of pediatrics (course 3, semesters 5-6).The main content of the discipline is to master the methods of examination of a sick child, communication with the patient's parents, knowledge of anatomical and physiological features of the growing and developing organism, semiotics and diagnosis of childhood diseases (clinical, laboratory and instrumental), study of leading syndromes of pathological conditions.Head of teaching the discipline is Associate Professorof department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of Pediatrics Zymnytska Tetyana Vasylivna.
Pediatrics (course 4, semesters 7-8).The basis of the discipline is the study of non-communicable diseases of children on the principles of organ pathology and, accordingly, the periods of childhood.The etiological and pathogenetic factors of childhood diseases, classifications, typical clinical manifestations, skills of determining the examination plan, analysis of laboratory and instrumental examinations in the typical course of the disease, mastery of the principles of treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases, assessment of disease prognosis, basic emergencyconditions, mastery of moral and deontological principles of a medical specialist and the principles of professional subordination of a family doctor and a pediatrician are studied.The head of teaching the discipline is associate professor of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Panko Natalia Oleksandrivna.
Pediatrics, children's infectious diseases (course 5, semesters 9-10).The purpose of the discipline is to continue the study of major non-communicable diseases in children on the principle of organ pathology.Much of the course is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the neonatal period of a healthy and sick child. In addition, this course studies hematological diseases and diseases of the endocrine system in children.Also, the content module of the discipline is devoted to the study of children's infectious diseases with features of preventive and anti-epidemic measures.Heads of teaching the discipline are associate professors Candidates of Medical Sciences, associate professors of pediatrics Voloshin Kostiantin Viktorovich and Rzhevskaya Olga Olexandrivna.
Pediatrics with pediatric infectious diseases (course 6, semesters 11-12).This is the final stage of the study of pediatrics, which includes the deepening of theoretical knowledge, improvement and mastery of practical skills, the acquisition of a professional level of readiness of future physicians to work independently.The head of the discipline is associate professor of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Tsyura Oksana Mykolayivna, as well as associate professors of the department, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professors of Pediatrics Golovko Tetyana Oleksiivna and Rzhevska Olga Oleksandrivna.
