Reports entitled “Regenerative Capability of Skin” was presented by the 2nd year student of the School of Medicine Kateryna Cheremska.

On April 22, 2019 Head of the Department of Surgical Diseases of the School of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor Y. D. Khvorostov was awarded with the title “Emeritus Professor of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University” having become the first School of Medicine staff member who got this title since the School’s revival as a part of Karazin University.

This year, celebration School of Medicine Day was held in a new form - "Miss School of Medicine 2019". 10 beautiful, clever and talented girls have conquered the entertainment complex "Misto" on May 17, 2019. A lot of applause, elegant dress and many delights! The event was attended by a Dean of School of Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Full Professor I. V. Belozorov, teachers and students of the faculty.

Students of the School of Medicine took part in the VIII National Assembly of Medical Students, which was held on May 3-5, 2019 at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. 3-year students: Shepel Veronika, Serobyan Anahit, Gegia Salome, Davidok Victoria, Dmitriukova Sofia, Victor Ostapenko presented the local office of the Ukrainian Medical Students Association at the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

On April 24, 2019, a forum "Vaccination - a step towards protection" was held in the student club of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University "Karazin Student Hall". Valentina D. Makarenko, Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University acted as a speaker and explained to the forum participants what happens in the body after vaccination. Everyone liked the creative approach of a specialist - the information in the poetic form was perceived remarkably.

Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Julia Zhadan, Taisiia Sazonova, Lyubov Kharchenko, Anton Dushik, Elena Delich and Maria Nelyapina took part in the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Modern theoretical and practical aspects of clinical medicine", which was held on April 18-19, 2019 on the basis of Odessa National Medical University. Julia Zhadan made oral presentations in the the section of highly specialized surgery and oncology.

On April 20, students of the School of Medicine Taisiia Sazonova, Julia Zhadan, Veronika Shepel, Sofia Dmitrukova organized the educational event "Viruses and how to win them", which took place at the Educational Centre “Landau Centre” of the V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Students of the 3rd year of the School of Medicine participated in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the professionally oriented discipline "Pathological Physiology" (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated November 28, 2018 No. 1313), held on April 17-19, 2019, on the basis of the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine).

April 25, 2019

On April 17-19, 2019 the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline "Pharmacology" was held at the National University of Pharmacy. The delegation of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was presented by 3-year students of the School of Medicine Olexander Vlasov and Olga Bezdolna under the guidance of the Candidate of Biology, assistant of the Department of General Practice - Family Medicine Alina Oleksiivna Minaieva.

In May-June 2019 the state scientific institution “Institute of Education Content Modernization” conducts an anonymous online-survey among scientific and educational staff and students of higher educational institutions “Implementation of Higher educational institutions’ autonomy within the context of the European universities autonomy experience”. Instructors and students of the School of Medicine are invited to participate in the project.
