Additional information: is the author of over 300 publications, including 2 manuals, 7 monographs, 2 security document on intellectual property law, 7 patents. For more than 30 years, he has been a head of the Kharkiv Scientific Society of Neurologists and now he is its honorary chairman. Since 1985 has been the Honored Scientist of the USSR – for outstanding achievements in the field of neurology. For a series of works on the principles of prevention of acute and chronic cerebrovascular disorders was awarded the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology in 1993. The same year, he was elected a member of the Academy of Sciences of the high school. He is a member of the European Federation of Neurological Societies, the Education Committee of the World Neurological Federation.Under his leadership the direction of the study of atherosclerosis in people of different professions, Parkinson's disease, diseases of the autonomic nervous system was created. He created a large school of clinicians, neurologists and scientists. Under his supervision, 6 doctoral and 41 master's theses were defended
