Second Mock Examination for the Unified State Qualification Exam “Krok 1” and AMPS at the Medical Faculty of Karazin University The Medical Faculty of Karazin University held a second in-person mock session of the Unified State Qualification Examination (Krok 1) and the AMPS practical assessment, aimed at further strengthening students’ examination skills and evaluating their readiness for the upcoming state examinations.
As during the first rehearsal, faculty members of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology—Professor Olena Serhiivna Protsenko and Associate Professor Maksym Ivanovych Kyrychenko—created conditions closely simulating the real examination environment. Students worked with printed testing materials under strict time limits, observed formal examination procedures, and completed tasks in an atmosphere designed to replicate the concentration and demands of the actual exam. The primary objective of the second mock examination was not only to reassess students’ theoretical preparedness, but also to consolidate practical test-taking skills, refine strategies for working under time constraints, and evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective work undertaken following the first rehearsal. The results of the second mock examination demonstrated clear positive progress: most students successfully addressed weaknesses identified during the first session, adapted more effectively to the examination format, improved their time-management skills, and achieved stronger results compared to their previous performance. “Repeated mock sessions allow students not only to assess their level of knowledge, but also to learn how to manage stress, allocate time effectively, and avoid common mistakes. We are already seeing noticeable improvement and greater confidence among students,” the organizers emphasized. A systematic preparation strategy that combines online consultations, extensive practice with examination-style questions, and in-person rehearsals conducted under realistic conditions enables Karazin University students to approach their state examinations with greater confidence and preparedness. We wish our students success in the Krok 1 and AMPS examinations, confidence in their knowledge, and excellent results.
