Karazin University’s Scientific Potential: Winners of the 1st Round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Paper Competition Announced at the School of Medicine

On March 31, 2026, the School of Medicine officially concluded the first round of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers in various fields of knowledge and specialties for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This year’s intellectual competition held particular significance. In accordance with the decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, under martial law, the primary focus was shifted toward identifying and supporting the scientific potential of students directly within their higher education institutions.

Transparency and Professional Excellence in Evaluation

The competition committee was chaired by the Dean of the School of Medicine, Professor Tetiana LIADOVA. Organizational oversight and quality control for the selection of papers were managed by the Deputy Dean for Research, Mariia MATVIEIENKO, alongside leading faculty members.

To ensure total objectivity, all research papers were submitted anonymously under special codes (ciphers) and underwent rigorous verification to meet strict technical requirements.
