Karazin Kharkiv National University this letter is addressed to candidates for the post of the President at the elections scheduled on May 26, 2021 calling for mutual respect, understanding, tranquility and dignity in the course of the electoral race. Behavior demonstrated by one of the candidates is deemed to be inadmissible, claiming long-standing head of Karazin University, academician V. S. Bakirov of allegiance to one of the candidates and negative attitude to the other ones in order to appeal against V. S. Bakirov’s worrying about the future of the university and at the same time damaging image and reputation of the entire Karazin Society.

We call on both sides of the conflict to cease hostilities and resolve the conflict through peaceful dialogue.

On May 7, 2021, a regular meeting of the student scientific circle of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology was held online, in which about 30 1st year students of the School of Medicine took part. Two reports were presented at the meeting: 'Stem cells - the origin and nature of pluripotency' and 'Stem cells - prospects for application in medicine', which were presented by 1st year students - Olga Genova, Daria Gurtovaya, Olifenko Marina, Medvedeva Karina.
