Currently, the School of Medicine at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is ranked among the top three higher education institutions in Ukraine, improving its position annually, according to various international and national rankings.
The School prepares high-quality doctors of the European level of the second (master) levelon specialty 222 “Medicine” in the field of knowledge 22 “Health care” qualification "Master of Medicine. Doctor" (full-time education).
From 2021 to the present time the School has been headed by the Dean, Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor Denys V. OKLEI.
The School conducts teaching activities recognized in Ukraine and abroad by experts, including more than 60 professors, doctors of medicine, and more than 250 associate professors, candidates of medicine.
Education at the School is carried out at 18 departments and in 3 training centers with the involvement of specialists from other schools of the university in the study of fundamental disciplines. The clinical bases of the School are 27 leading clinics and research institutes of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, where students of the School receive clinical skills. During the training, innovative pedagogical techniques and modern teaching technologies are used (distance online courses, multimedia training materials, remote Internet consultations, online conferences, etc.). Today, more than 4,500 students from 42 countries of the world receive higher medical education at the School of Medicine, and the demand for educational services of the School is increasing annually among both domestic applicants and foreign citizens.
The term of study is 6 years.Graduates of the School receive a diploma of higher education of the state standard in Ukrainian and English, which is recognized by all countries of the world, and an annex to the diploma of the international standard (diploma supplement).
After receiving a diploma, graduates of the School of Medicine for 1-3 years undergo an internship (postgraduate education) in all medical specialties (except for "Dentistry" and "Medical and preventive care").
Teaching of students of the School of Medicine carried out according with standard advanced training programs within regulated standards and is approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Duration of education - 6 years.
Graduates receive a state diploma in Ukrainian and in English and the addition to the international diploma (diploma supplement). After graduation, graduates are eligible to have medical practice in all specialties except dentistry after internship.
