On October 13, 2017, the European Medical Students' Association of the School of Medicine of V. N. Kharkiv National University (EMSA) held a scientific and practical seminar "Mental Health at Workplace" dedicated to the World Mental Health Day. Students-scientists, instructors, doctors-clinicians took part in the seminar. The reports and discussions were aimed at raising awareness about the ways of maintaining mental health at the workplace and the rights of patients with mentally illnesses.
The Candidate of Laws, associate professor V. Savchenko (report on the rights of patients with mentally illnesses),the Candidate of Economy, associate professor I. Zhilinkova (report on human rights), the Candidate of Medicine, associate professor D. Shtrigol (report on the prevalence of anxiety and depression among the population) took part in the event. From EMSA E. Devassia presented the report on a theme "Ways of preservation of mental health at workplace".
During the seminar videotapes of interviews of patients with mental disorders were demonstrated, the results of social monitoring were presented and the participants were tested to determine the level of awareness in the field of mental health.
