On September 20, 2017 a meeting-seminar of the Department of Hygiene and Social Medicine of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was held at the municipal organization "Sanepidservice" under the guidance of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Kharkiv. The municipal organization "Sanepidservice" is the clinical base for practical classes in hygiene and ecology of students of the 3rd and 6th courses of the School of Medicine of Ukrainian- and English-language form of education.By its structure it is a complex of modern laboratories, where research on drinking water, soil, air, building materials, food products and other environmental objects is carried out in accordance with international standards for sanitary, chemical, radiological and microbiological indicators.
The meeting-seminar was devoted to the reform of the sanitary-epidemiological service and changes in the sanitary legislation of Ukraine. The issue of state sanitary and epidemiological control in modern conditions was considered.
The seminar presented innovative software developments that are unique in Ukraine and are used in the work of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Kharkiv. Two of them - a control program for conducting preventive medical examinations for persons of the decreeed contingent and a program for registering cases of infectious morbidity.
