On April 24, 2017 the round table was held on the basis of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 (Kharkiv) with the participation of scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in order to raise the awareness of specialists in matters relating to primary immunodeficiencies, under the general slogan "Let's find a way together!".
At the event the chief doctor of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1, Doctor of Medicine, full professor O. V. Piontkovs'ka made a welcoming speech. She drew attention to the relevance and need for timely diagnosis of primary immunodeficient conditions in children and adolescents. The chief non-staff specialist in pediatric immunology of the Health Department of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the School of Medicine O. M. Savvo made a report on "The experience of the first Kharkiv Regional Center of Child Immunology in Ukraine. History of formation, prospects of development". In the course of the report attention was focused on approaches to diagnosis and treatment of patients with primary immunodeficient conditions, epidemiological and statistical data and recommendations for optimal therapeutic strategies were given.
In addition, during the event reports were presented by the Doctor of Medicine, associate professor of the Department of Children's Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Immunology of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education A. V. Bondarenko on the topic "The Way to the diagnosis of patients with primary immunodeficiency"; the chief non-staff specialist in clinical immunology of the Health Department of Kharkiv Regional State Administration, associate professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine of Kharkiv National Medical University T. Y. Khimich on the topic "Primary Immunodeficiency in Adults"; the Candidate of Medicine, assistant of the Department of Children's Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Immunology of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education Y. S. Stepanovs'kyy, about the difficulties of treating patients with primary immunodeficiency in Ukraine; the Candidate of Philosophy, Head of the Project Development Committee of the public organization "Rare immune diseases" A. B. Tsytsenko about the principles of management of patients with primary immunodeficiency in foreign and Ukrainian realities and others.
