Instructors of the School of Medicine participated in the symposium "Raising of awareness and education on biosafety and biosecurity in Ukraine"

Full professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Doctor of Biology Olena M. Fedota took part and presented a report during the 3rd symposium with international participation "Raising of awareness and education on biosafety and biosecurity in Ukraine" that took place on April 5-7, 2017 in Kiev with the support of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukrainian Biosafety Association, The Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Ukrainian scientific and technological center. The symposium was held pursuant to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine "On biological security of Ukraine", promulgated by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No 220 dated 06.04.2009.

The Symposium was held under the leadership of President of the Ukrainian Association of Biosafety, Director of O. V. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine S. V. Komisarenko with the participation of the Minister of education and science of Ukraine L. M. Hrynevych, employees of profile ministries and departments, representatives of state and educational institutions of the United Kingdom and Ukraine, involved in the provision of Biosafety of the state.
