Teachers of the School of Medicine - participants of the 26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Specialists (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Since its founding in 1983, ESCMID has evolved to become Europe’s leading society in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases with members from all European countries and all continents. For 30 years, ESCMID has been an influential component in the professional lives of microbiologists and infectious disease specialists and now reaches more than 33’000 members and affiliated members around the world. ESCMID is registered in Switzerland with offices in Basel.

This year held its annual 26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID 2016) which was held in Amsterdam (Netherlands).

11640 people from 123 countries participated in the congress. The congress featured more than 200 sessions covering the entire field of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, including 11 keynote lectures, more than 100 symposia and oral sessions, 20 educational workshops and 20 meet-the-expert sessions.

Employees of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology are active members of ESCMID and annually take part in the congresses. This year, 9th-12th April the teachers of our school (N. Popov, A.Kozlov, S. Malanchuk) participated in ECCMID with poster «EVALUATION OF LED EMISSION OF BLUE AND VIOLET SPECTRA ON POLYRESISTANT STRAINS OF PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA IN VITRO» that colleagues from different countries highly appreciated.
