Head of the Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy

The Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy is headed by Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor Oleksandr M. Kudrevych.

Oleksandr M. Kudrevych graduated from the School of Medicine of Kharkiv State Medical University in 1998. In December 2006, he successfully defended his dissertation on the following theme "Surgical tactics and treatment of patients with locally disseminated thymoma" and received the degree of Candidate of Medicine on specialty "Surgery".

Since 2012, he has been working as an Associate Professor of the Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomyon the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Since 2016 – Head of the Department of Surgical Diseases, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomyof V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University’s School of Medicine. Oleksandr M. Kudrevych is a Member of Kharkiv Scientific Medical Society in Section "Surgery". He performs his medical and research work on the basis of SI "V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery of NAMS of Ukraine". His total length of experience is about 30 years.

Oleksandr M. Kudrevych is a co-author of 50 publications, in particular, 1 monograph, 3 textbooks, 2 patents of Ukraine for the invention, a number of study guides for students and interns.

Oleksandr M. Kudrevych carries out an active pedagogical work, transferring his experience and knowledge to medical students. He delivers lectures on surgery for the students of the 5-6 courses and conducts practical classes and seminars on this discipline, as well as clinical discussion of patients together with department staff and students.

The scope of scientific and professional interests of Oleksandr M. Kudrevych at the present stage is pathology of hepatopancreatobiliary zone and gastrointestinal tract as well as the pathology of thymus.
