The Karazin School of Emergency and Tactical Medicine is certified by the American College of Surgeons and the US Department of Defense

On June 28, 2023, the Karazin School of Emergency and Tactical Medicine was certified as a provider of the world-renowned emergency bleeding program "STOP THE BLEED", which is the standard for training emergency medics, military medics and non-medical specialists. The program "STOP THE BLEED" was developed by the American College of Surgeons and is registered as a trademark of the US Department of Defense and the US National Health Agency.

Instructors of the Karazin School of Emergency and Tactical Medicine, Ivan RUDAS, Vladyslav GVOZD, and Susanna AKSENKOVA, are certified by the American College of Surgeons and have received the official titles of instructors of the course "STOP THE BLEED".

Thus, Karazin University became the university that has certification and can officially issue certificates "STOP THE BLEED". In the near future, the program "STOP THE BLEED" will be offered to students as a separate one-day educational event or as a component of the already known to the university community and Kharkiv residents of the Karazinsky training "Providing first aid at the scene of events".
