Student scientific society on psychiatry held a meeting on the topic "Digital Phenotyping with a Smartphone"

On May 05, the student scientific society on psychiatry held a meeting at the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology on the topic "Digital Phenotyping with a Smartphone".

In the modern world, the use of gadgets and mobile applications is widely used at the household level, but they can also be used to create effective tools for studying symptoms of mental disorders and preventing relapses. With the participation of young scientists and lecturers of the department, the article "Prediction of Schizophrenia Relapse Using Smartphone Digital Phenotyping during COVID-19: Prospective Longitudinal Study at Three Sites in Two Countries" (2023) was considered and analyzed.

The results demonstrated that relapse prediction models that use patient data collected through a smartphone app can alert clinicians and patients to potential schizophrenia relapse.
