Lecture for high school students “Numbers and Figures in the World of Medicine”

On April 29, 2023, Associate Professor Olena V. Shapoval of the Department of General and Clinical Pathology held an in-person lecture for high school students. The topic of the lecture was “Numbers and Figures in the World of Medicine”, covering theoretical concepts such as the significance of numbers using the example of normal hemogram, as well as the diversity of anatomical formations and microscopic components of the human body.

In addition to the theoretical portion, there was a practical component that involved photo calculation of the area of damaged skin surface in a patient with flame burns, as well as the creation of a model of an erythrocyte and segmented nuclei of blood granulocytes.
