XIX International scientific conference of Students, Young Scientists and Specialists “Topical Issues of Modern Medicine”

On December 15-16, the XIX International scientific conference of students, young scientists and specialists "Actual issues of modern medicine" was held online.

Dean of the School of Medicine, Prof. T. I. Lyadova opened solemnly the conference and welcomed the participants from different parts of the world:

“Warm greetings from Kharkiv! Good morning! My name is Tetiana Liadova. I am the Dean of the School of Medicine of Karazin Kharkiv National University. I would like to start with giving a brief overview of Karazin university, one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe. I am and my colleagues very glad to see you in our international students conference. I hope, that participation in this conference – will be new, productive and interesting experience in your student life.

Thank you for continuing of your education and scientific work at our School of Medicine, in our Karazin university. Thank you for support of our country and believing in Glory of Ukraine!

I wish you to get new modern scientific ideas, positive emotions? New contacts and 1-st degree diplomas! Thanks for your active participation! Congratulations!!!”

Scientific works were presented in the following areas of medicine:

Obstetrics and gynecology

·Internal medicine and clinical cases

Hygiene and social medicine

Infectious diseases, immunology and allergology

Clinical pathology

Medical genetics

Neurology and neurosurgery

Normal morphology, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology

Pediatrics

Psychiatry, narcology and medical psychology

Family medicine, preventive medicine, healthy lifestyle

Surgery

Due to the possibility of unexpected power outages, participants were given the opportunity to attach a video recording of their presentation in case they were unable to attend in person.

About 200 theses based on the results of own research were submitted for the conference.

The Faculty of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is very grateful to the organizers for their dedicated work, and of course, grateful to all participants, guests from Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Great Britain and every corner of Ukraine. To all those who joined the conference in such difficult times, when, despite the lack of electricity, lack of time and danger, everyone is working for the future of medicine and science.
