XVII International scientific conference of Students, Young Scientists and Specialists “Topical Issues of Modern Medicine”

On October 1-2, 2020, was held the XVII International scientific conference of Students, Young Scientists and Specialists “Topical Issues of Modern Medicine”, dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the founding of the School of medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

More than 300 participants from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, the USA, India and other countries took part in the conference.

In total, during the conference, research students from different countries presented more than 200 reports on the results of their research. During the conference there were 14 sections in different areas of medicine:

·Internal Medicine and Clinical Cases

·Surgery

·Pediatrics

·Obstetrics and Gynecology

·Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology

·Infectious diseases, Immunology and Allergology

·Neurology and Neurosurgery

·General Morphology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology

·Clinical pathology

·Hygiene and Social Medicine

·Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Healthy Way of Life

·Medical Genetics

·History of medicine

·Poster presentations

Section meetings were held with the possibility of online participation, some sections were completely transferred to online form. In this way, active participants who did not have the opportunity to speak in person could make an oral presentation through a conference on platforms such as Zoom and Google Classroom. Also everyone could join the meetings of any section and listen to the reports of the participants.

After evaluating the voting results, the jury solemnly awarded the winners with diplomas and certificates.
