The Council of Young Scientists, Postgraduates and Doctoral Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a series of lectures and interactive tasks for pupils of the 9th-11th grades on the basis of Kharkiv secondary school No. 28 on December 3, 2018 for the World AIDS.

Lecturers (young scientists of our faculty: Zaur Farhad oglu Huseynov and Kseniia Veklych) prepared visual materials, lectures and interactive tasks, which were aimed at determining the initial level of adolescents’ awareness of the problem, raising the level of their knowledge about HIV/AIDS and developing pupils’ understanding of the vulnerability of every person to HIV infection.

Such events contribute to the formation of schoolchildren’s responsible attitude to their health, provide reliable information about HIV/AIDS, demonstrate the mechanisms of disease transmission and allow consolidating knowledge in the accessible form of a game.
