Students of the School of Medicine - organizers and participants of the campaign, dedicated to the World AIDS Day

On December 1, 2017 at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University a campaign, dedicated to the World AIDS Day, was held. The event was organized in the framework of the university program "Student Health" by the representatives of the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS (SCORA), Student Committee of Medical Education (SCOME), Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) of the local representation of the Ukrainian Medical Student Association (UMSA) at the Karazin University with the support of the African Medical Students Association.

During campaign red ribbons and leaflets with useful information for students of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University were distributed. The main purpose of the action is to spread the information about the rights of AIDS patients, relevant laws. All interested students had an opportunity to know more about the ways of HIV/AIDS transmission, pathogenesis and clinical manifestations, prevention and treatment.
The UMSA-Karazin team expresses gratitude for the help in organizing of the campaign to the Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Tetiana І. Liadova, African Medical Students Association and active participants of the action: T. Antusheva, O. Delich, Y. Zhadan, V. Savvo, T. Sazonova, K. Stokaz and V. Shepel.
