The Teddy Bear Hospital is a project run by the EMSA-Karazin FMO on October 4th, 2017, at intern-school № 55 (Kharkiv, Ukraine), to provide health promotion to children in a fun and interactive way with the aim to overcome any fear or anxieties they may have towards health care professionals.
The children were given an opportunity to explore their creativity by drawing a medical theme of their choice, they also played the role of doctors by listening the heartbeats and the Teddy Bear reward they got after, excited them. It was also a chance for medical students and junior doctors to improve their communication skills and develop positive Doctor-patients relationships with the special-needs of children as well.
