The instructors of the School of Medicine are participants of the international scientific and practical conference «Actual issues of multifactorial and hereditary pathology. Orphan metabolic diseases»

On April 20-21, 2017, full professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Olena M. Fedota took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Actual issues of multifactor and hereditary pathology. Orphan metabolic diseases », which was organized with the assistance of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, National Children's Hospital "OKHMATDET" of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Association of Specialists in Medical and Laboratory Genetics.

The conference was headed by Doctor of Medicine, full professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, chief specialist on medical genetics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine N. H. Horovenko. The conference was attended by domestic and foreign experts in the field of medical genetics and general practice - family medicine of the health departments of the regions of Ukraine, regional coordinators on orphan diseases, geneticists, laboratory geneticists, biologists, specialists who provide medical care to patients with orphan diseases.

During the conference master-classes and round tables devoted to the treatment and diagnosis of orphan metabolic diseases with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, persons responsible for providing medical care to patients with orphan diseases in the regions of Ukraine, representatives of public organizations were held. At the end of the conference, there was a meeting of Association of Specialists in Medical and Laboratory Genetics.
