On April 12, 2017 in Kyiv students of the School of Medicine Olena Delich (3rd course), Othman Abdel Wahhab (5th course), Ilona Hrytsenko (5th course) took a part in the international symposium “Basics of Neurosurgery for Interns and Medical Students», which was held with the participation of full professor, President of Walter Dandy Neurosurgical Society, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery of the University of St. Louis (USA) Salim Abdulrauf.
Participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest researches in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, new techniques of shunting of the cerebral vessels, operation of tumors on the cerebral vesselsin patients in conscious.
Also during the discussion participants had the opportunity to talk with the outstanding doctor Salim Abdulrauf, ask questions about the details of work in neurosurgery, trainings and educational programs for students and residents in the United States.
The event was held by the state institution "Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine ", Ukraine and the University of St. Louis, USA.
