Students of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkov National University on the clinical base of the Department of surgical diseases, operative surgery and topographic anatomy at the State institution «V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Urgent surgery of NAMS of Ukraine» have visited the soldiers - participants of anti-terrorist operation, which are treated for gunshot wounds, mine-blast trauma, and contusions, which have been obtained at the civil duty execution.
The greatest interest among the students arouse soldiers, which have undergone heart surgery, which were only a few steps away from the death and, thanks to highly skilled staff of the Surgery Institute, chaired by Professor Boyko V. V., have survived. Together with the students the soldiers have been visited by vice-president for scientific and educational work (for international partnership) Professor Nazyrov Z. F. Medical students were unable to stay away from what they saw and have made their feasible contribution to the true heroes’ convalescence.
