On March 4th, 2016, students of the School of Medicine started to use the system of remote preparation for KROK-1 at the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance (in absentia) Learning of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
System is based on well-known and popular in universities of all over the world Moodle platform (more on the link).
The Distance Learning Server is available here. The author of the idea, developer and coordinator of the project is the curator of the Web-resources of the School of Medicine, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology A. P. Kozlov.
The course of remote preparation and supervision of students' knowledge level is just one component of the system of preparation, which includes printed and electronic manuals specially designed software for off-line work on personal computers and computer classes of the school.
A special feature and a hallmark of implemented system of preparation for KROK-1 is a unique approach to sorting and presentation of tests, based on the results of in-depth statistical analysis of exam booklets of past years, the presence of explanatory teachers’ comments on issues of specific disciplines, the possibility of online consultations on complex student issues.Starting from this moment preparation for KROK-1 is available round-the-clock 365 days per year.
Logins and passwords to access the server of distance learning the 3rd year students of the School of Medicine can get from the project coordinator, Candidate of Medicine, Associate Professor of the Department of General and Clinical Immunology and Allergology A. P. Kozlov according to a schedule, which is approved by the dean's office and agreed by heads of groups.
In addition to the remote preparation for KROK-1 students are offered remote accompanying courses in a significant number of disciplines with the possibility of remote access to the program of discipline, calendar and thematic plans, methods of assessment of knowledge and skills of students, banks of test tasks and control questions for the current and module control, methodological materials, training videos, presentations, schemes etc.. The creation of new and improvement of the available courses is being continued on a permanent basis.
