On October 21, 2026, the first meeting of the Student Scientific Circle of the Department of Internal Medicine was held in an online format.

The topic of the meeting was “Current Problems of the Gastroenterological Clinic.”

During the meeting, 4th-year students presented scientific reports dedicated to important issues of modern gastroenterology. Reports were delivered on the following topics: Whipple’s Disease, Eosinophilic Gastroenterocolitis, Gilbert’s Syndrome, and Side Effects of Proton Pump Inhibitors: Myths and Reality.

The circle participants actively discussed the presented materials, asked questions to the speakers, and exchanged views on the clinical features, diagnosis, and approaches to the treatment of these diseases.

The first meeting of the circle became a good start to the students’ scientific work and contributed to deepening their knowledge in the field of internal medicine, particularly gastroenterology.

The Department of Internal Medicine congratulates the participants on the successful start of the circle’s work and invites all interested students to join future meetings.
