Employees of the School of Medicine - participants in the training of future couches on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health

An employee of the School of Medicine of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Larisa Zhukova took part in the training of future coaches on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF). These couches will train rehabilitation specialists, medical workers and workers in the social and educational spheres to use the new classification for Ukraine. The training was conducted by the ICF Research Branch organization with the support of the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC), organized by the International Charity Foundation “Ukrainian Public Health Foundation”.

Using the ICF allows rehabilitation specialists, doctors, educators and psychologists to understand the state of human health and better plan rehabilitation for people with chronic diseases or disabilities. The purpose of the new classification is to make the rehabilitation process continuous: from the moment of the emergence of a health problem, that led to disability, to the maximum possible resumption of functioning.
